May exhibit: Darkness & Light

From May 8th to May 30th we will be showing “Darkness and Light” This exhibit will showcase the incredible paintings of artist Michael Quirk.

“I like hiking in the nearby woods, but there are few large animal encounters in my area. Imagine coming to a clearing in a forest and encountering a bear. It is at once exciting and terrifying as you quickly try to figure out what to do next... 
This piece was inspired by a news story of a bear that fell from a tree after being shot by police with a tranquilizer dart. While working with high quality printing paper, I paint, fold or scrape my work to create a rough, gritty surface.”

We will be showing paintings by painter Michael Quirk. With his latest series of paintings, "I've been creating narrative work that speaks to the somewhat chaotic times that we live in. What started out as very different landscapes for me, evolved into imagery for everything from basic human and animal forms to public figures and pop cultural icons" he states.
