Sheila Levrant de Bretteville is a graphic designer, artist and educator whose work reflects her belief in the importance of feminist principles and user participation in graphic design. Her work has been collected and shown by museums and galleries on both coasts of the US and in Europe. A graduate of Barnard and Yale, she received honorary doctorates from four American colleges and has directed Yale’s program in graphic design for the past three decades.
