Libby Boyd is an artist currently based in New Haven, CT. Before moving to New Haven in 2024, she was living and working in Chicago where she received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2023. Boyd’s work revolves around the careful observation and recording of shape and pattern. She abtracts conventional things by taking them out of context in an attempt to draw the viewer’s attention to specific formal qualities like color, number, and structure.
